About Us

Built by People Who Know Hoist Equipment

Northern Hoist Equipment was built to give contractors a single, dependable source for construction hoist, scaffold, and garbage chute rentals — without the headaches that usually come with rental equipment.

While our company is still young, our team isn’t. We’re backed by decades of combined, hands-on experience in hoist and lifting equipment, and we started this business because we saw a gap in the industry: too many rental companies only service what they rent or sell, leaving contractors stuck when equipment from another provider breaks down.

We built Northern Hoist Equipment to fill that gap. We rent and sell scaffolding, rent construction hoists and garbage chutes, and back all of it with a service team that can maintain, upgrade, and restore equipment regardless of who installed it or who it was rented from.

Downtime costs our clients real money, and that shapes everything we do — from the equipment we choose to stock, to how fast we respond when something needs attention. Whether you’re renting from us for the first time or calling us to service equipment we’ve never seen before, our goal is the same: get you back up and running, fast.
